15 Feb 2007 Post Magazine Article - Industry giants back fast-track initiative An executive search agency has secured the services of at least six top industry players for an initiative aimed at retaining talent in the insurance industry.
Mansion House Executive this week launched Talent House, a scheme that will provide 30 hand-picked professionals with coaching, mentoring and advice from bosses at insurers such as NIG, Towergate, Talbot Underwriting and Axa.
"Talent House is not about recruitment; it's about grooming the next generation of senior management for our industry," said managing director of MHE, Marcella Cronin. "Our aim is to identify emerging talent within our industry and provide the platform they need to take control of their long-term career development."
Ms Cronin explained Talent House has secured three members for the scheme already, with a further fifteen under consideration over the next two to three weeks.
Once the membership of the training scheme is complete, mentors including NIG chief executive Charles Crawford, Towergate, CEO, UK broking Amanda Blanc and Stuart Reid, chief executive at broker Stuart Alexander, have all confirmed they will offer their time and expertise to the project.
"While we will be using our market knowledge to identify potential members, we also welcome nominations," Ms Cronin added: "We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate high achievement and commitment, and who will benefit from focused, independent advice and access to the network we are creating."
Nominations should be sent to Talenthouse@mansionhouse.co.uk |
